Supreme Team Members Share How Easy and Informative the 2023 Compliance Training Course Is

Since launching this year’s required Compliance Training course earlier this month, 45% of the company has already completed the quick and simplified eLearning course in Docebo. Here’s what a few Supreme team members have said about the training:

  • “This year’s Compliance Training is FAR better than the previous years. I think what made a difference this year was that the training for each module was straight to the point and interactive, which kept me engaged.”
Anna Waldron, Loan Processor in Edina, MN

  • “The training communicated important concepts. There were no minutiae, obscure questions like asking for dates. It’s so much better than anything put out by other various training companies we have used in the past. I loved the Supreme section to remind us about fraud, phishing, and wire fraud, and a reminder to encrypt emails to keep our company safe and to protect sensitive personal data. Great job on this!”
Carolyn Kalchthaler, Loan Officer in Dallas, TX

If you haven’t yet, take a moment to complete the quick Compliance course on Docebo today!

Who Is the Cost Approver for Print Orders in Ignite? Check Now!

For Loan Officers looking to place print fulfillment orders in Ignite, approval is typically required from a Branch Manager, who will be tagged as the “Cost Approver.” The Cost Approver field in Ignite is now visible for all profiles but can only be edited by a Marketing admin.

When a print order is made, a notification will be sent to the Cost Approver’s email address listed to approve the order. If the field is blank, the Marketing Team is set to approve by default. Loan Officers can now check their profile to confirm if their Branch Manager is listed, and Branch Managers can confirm that either their Regional Manager or Marketing is listed. To confirm, log in to Ignite, go to My Profile, and scroll down to find the Cost Approver field.

Please send any corrections or updates for the Cost Approver field to Marketing@SupremeLending.com.

Branch Managers assigned as Cost Approvers will receive an email notification from Distribion to review a print order when it’s placed in Ignite. To approve the order, log in to Ignite, and from the dropdown Menu select Browse Items Pending Approval.

Infosecurity Tip of the Month: Tax-Related Phishing

Tax season is upon us along with a perennial threat: tax-related phishing attacks.

These attacks are particularly dangerous because they tend to target sensitive information and they can give cybercriminals direct access to an individual’s or an organization’s money. Tax-related phishing emails often impersonate government tax agencies or organizations that assist with tax preparation and filing.

Here’s an example:

Tax-related phishing could affect both business and personal accounts, so it’s important to stay alert. If you receive a questionable or suspicious email at work, immediately report it. Read the full bulletin to learn more tips to stay safe this tax season.

Reminder: How to Identify and Avoid Package Delivery Scams

Delivery scams can start as a text message or email about delivering a package to your address with a “tracking link” that you are urged to click on to update your delivery or payment preferences. While these messages often look or sound legitimate, you should never click a link, open an attachment, or call back a number from an unexpected delivery notice! Contact the delivery service or seller directly using a verified number or website.

Here are some additional warning signs of package delivery scams:

  • Unexpected requests for money in return for delivery of a package, often with a sense of urgency.
  • Requests for additional personal and/or financial information.
  • Links to misspelled or slightly altered website addresses, such as “fedx.com” or “fed-ex.com.”
  • Spelling and grammatical errors or excessive use of capitalization and exclamation points.
  • Lack of the padlock symbol and HTTPS in a URL.

If you have any questions regarding this tip, please contact Information Security via Mark.Nagiel@SupremeLending.com. Thanks for participating in the information security effort!

Meet Azael “Oz” Barrera, Sr. Video Design Specialist

  • Hometown: I was born in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, but raised in Denton, TX.
  • History With Supreme: I’ve been with Supreme for three years now this December.
  • Favorite Thing About Working at Supreme: The opportunity to meet new people from all aspects of life. Whenever I’m going to film someone for an interview, it gives me the experience to get to know them. For example, meeting the Dionne Team. I never would have thought of ever going to Connecticut, but Supreme gave me the chance to visit their region and get to know each member of their team. It was great experience.
  • Fun Fact People May Not Know: I wanted to be a pro MMA fighter, and I like to do the occasional ice bath.
  • How to Turn a Bad Day Into a Good One: Do I really need to let a short moment dictate my day? No! You don’t let one hour affect the rest of the 23 hours.
  • Favorite Vacation Destination: Either being in the mountains or lounging on the warm sands of a beach.
  • Special Interests and Hobbies: Grappling/Jiujitsu, riding my motorcycle, doing CrossFit, hiking, learning to smoke BBQ, trying out new food spots, taking road trips across the country, wanting to create an overland rig, learning about self-care and how to be a better individual than yesterday—just to name a few!
  • Favorite TV Show: How I Met Your Mother
